There are many types of employment for adults. Finding a job you like and are good at is important because you will spend most of your life working. Every type of employment requires training. Some jobs require a lot of training and some require only a little training. Some jobs require high school or college degrees, and some don't. In this lesson, you will learn to identify various types of jobs. As you look at the photos, think about the kind of jobs you like. (3 pages)

Farmer Sitting on a Tractor

What is his job?

  • He is a farmer.
  • Farmers work on farms.
  • They grow fruits and vegetables or raise livestock.

 

Construction Foreman

What kind of work does he do?

  • He is a construction foreman.
  • He makes sure that the construction workers are doing their jobs.
